VARSOVIE EN MUSIQUES
Le Palais sur l'eau de Varsovie, résidence d'été du dernier roi de Pologne, est un écrin d’art et de raffinement au sein du vaste Parc Lazienki. Miraculeusement préservé des tourments de l'histoire polonaise et de la guerre, il fut dès sa construction au XVIII e siècle, dédié aux arts et à la musique.
En parcourant le Palais et son parc, guidés par les interprétations in situ de Chopin par Alain Planès et par les musiques portant l’empreinte des siècles, le film révèle un lieu de mémoire unique et ravive l'héritage culturel dont ce monument témoigne.
The Palace on the Isle in Warsaw, the summer residence of the last King of Poland, is a jewel of art and refinement nestled within the vast Łazienki Park. Miraculously spared from the turmoil of Polish history and war, it has been dedicated to the arts and music since its construction in the 18th century.
As viewers wander through the Palace and its park, guided by Alain Planès’ in situ interpretations of Chopin and music echoing through the centuries, the film unveils a unique site of memory and revives the cultural heritage embodied by this historic monument.
